JEE mains Session 2 Result - 10 things to know with detail
- 1. Result Date: The JEE mains Session 2 result is expected to be declared in the last week of March 2022. The exact date will be announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on their official website.
- 2. Scorecard: The JEE mains Session 2 result will be available in the form of a scorecard. Candidates can check their scores and rank in the exam on the official website of NTA.
- 3. All India Rank (AIR): Along with the individual scores, candidates will also be able to see their All India Rank (AIR) in the JEE mains Session 2 result. This rank will determine the candidate's position among all the test-takers.
- 4. Cut-off Marks: The cut-off marks for JEE mains Session 2 will also be released along with the result. Candidates who score equal to or above the cut-off marks will be eligible for JEE Advanced examination.
- 5. Qualifying Status: The result will also indicate whether a candidate has qualified for JEE Advanced or not. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE mains will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
- 6. Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case two or more candidates score the same marks in JEE mains Session 2, the tie-breaking criteria will be applied to determine the rank. The criteria include higher marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and age of the candidate.
- 7. Normalization Process: The JEE mains Session 2 result will be prepared using the normalization process to ensure fairness for all candidates. This process takes into account the difficulty level of the exam and ensures that all candidates are evaluated on a level playing field.
- 8. Counseling Process: After the declaration of the result, the counseling process for JEE mains Session 2 will begin. Candidates who have qualified for JEE Advanced will be able to participate in the counseling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutions.
