• TS EAMCET stands for Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
• TS EAMCET is conducted for admissions into various undergraduate professional courses in the field of Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical in the colleges of Telangana state.
• The exam is held once a year in the month of May. The notification for TS EAMCET is usually released in February, and the application process begins soon after.
• The exam pattern for TS EAMCET comprises of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total of 160 questions. The exam is conducted in two sessions - Engineering and Agriculture & Medical.
• The Engineering exam consists of questions from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, while the Agriculture & Medical exam includes questions from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Candidates applying for Engineering courses must have completed or appeared for the 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. For Agriculture and Medical courses, candidates must have completed or appeared for the 10+2 examination with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects.
• To be eligible for TS EAMCET, candidates must be Indian nationals or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. They must also satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down by the state government.
