Vaishnaw, was a renowned professor of political science, and his mother, Dr. Sharda Vaishnaw, was a professor of Hindi literature.
Vaishnaw completed his schooling in Jodhpur and went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
