CTET 2024 - 10 things to know with detail
  • CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test, which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates aspiring to become teachers in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
  • The CTET exam is divided into two papers - Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for candidates aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates can choose to appear for either Paper 1, Paper 2, or both depending on their teaching aspirations.
  • The CTET exam is conducted twice a year, usually in the months of July and December. Candidates can apply for the exam online through the official CTET website.
  • The CTET exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options, out of which candidates have to choose the correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
