• JEE Main 2024 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions.
• The exam is conducted twice a year in the months of January and April, allowing students to improve their scores by appearing in both attempts.
• The exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning courses. Candidates can choose to appear for either one or both papers as per their preference.
• JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in computer-based mode only. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value-based questions.
• The syllabus for JEE Main 2024 will be based on the topics covered in class 11 and 12 of the CBSE board. Candidates are advised to thoroughly study the NCERT textbooks for a better understanding of the concepts.
• The exam pattern for JEE Main 2024 will consist of three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section will carry equal weightage in the exam.
• The duration of the exam will be 3 hours for each paper. Candidates must manage their time effectively to attempt all questions within the stipulated time.
• The JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in multiple shifts over a period of several days to accommodate the large number of candidates appearing for the exam.
• The result of JEE Main 2024 will be declared on the official website of NTA. Candidates can check their scores and ranks in the exam using their login credentials.
• Based on their JEE Main 2024 scores, candidates will be eligible to apply for admission to various engineering colleges across the country. The top scorers will also be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced for admission to IITs.
