  • The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's premier central recruiting agency responsible for conducting examinations for recruitment to various civil services of the Government of India.

  • The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the most prestigious and competitive exams conducted by the UPSC. It is conducted in three stages - Preliminary, Main, and Interview - to select candidates for various civil services posts such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), etc.

The Preliminary exam consists of two papers - General Studies and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) - and is objective in nature.
