Adelaide Botanic Garden

Adelaide Botanic Garden is a 51-hectare (126-acre) public garden at the north-east corner of the Adelaide city centre, in the Adelaide Park Lands. It encompasses a fenced garden on North Terrace and behind it the Botanic Park. The garden was founded in 1855 and features a stunning array of plants from around the world, including many rare and endangered species. It is home to the State Herbarium of South Australia and the Botanic Gardens of South Australia. The garden features a number of themed gardens, including the Australian Native Garden, the Mediterranean Garden, the Rose Garden, the Japanese Garden, the Palm and Cycad Garden, the Bicentennial Conservatory, and the Waterlily Pavilion. It also has a number of sculptures, including the iconic 'Mamma' sculpture by artist Robert Hannaford.
