Great Ocean Road - Melbourne - Australia
Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is a 243-kilometre (151 mi) stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford. It is an iconic Australian tourist route, and is the world's largest war memorial, dedicated to honouring the servicemen and women of World War I. The road winds along the coast, providing spectacular views of the Southern Ocean and the rugged limestone cliffs of the Shipwreck Coast. Along the way, visitors can explore the many beaches, rainforests, and lighthouses that line the route. The Great Ocean Road is also home to some of Australia's most famous attractions, including the Twelve Apostles, the London Arch, and the Bay of Islands.
