The Pont d'Avignon, also known as the Pont Saint-Benezet, is a famous medieval bridge in Avignon, France. It spans the Rhône River and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. The bridge was built in the 12th century and was originally composed of 22 arches, but only four remain today. The bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a popular tourist attraction. It is also the subject of the famous French folk song, "Sur le Pont d'Avignon".
