Palazzo Pitti is a grand Renaissance palace located in Florence, Italy. It was originally built in 1458 by Luca Pitti, a wealthy Florentine banker. The palace was later purchased by the Medici family in 1549 and served as the main residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany until the end of the Medici dynasty in Today, the palace is home to several museums, including the Palatine Gallery, the Royal Apartments, the Costume Gallery, and the Porcelain Museum.
