Basilica di Superga
The Basilica di Superga is a Baroque-style basilica located in Turin, Italy. It was built in 1717 by King Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy as a memorial to the House of Savoy and their victory over the French in the Battle of Turin in The basilica is situated on a hill overlooking the city of Turin and the Po River Valley. It is a large, domed structure with a central nave and two side aisles. The interior is decorated with frescoes and sculptures, and the exterior is adorned with statues and columns. The basilica is also home to the tombs of many members of the House of Savoy, including King Vittorio Amedeo II and his wife, Queen Maria Adelaide.
