Templo de Debod
The Templo de Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple located in Madrid, Spain. It was originally built in the 2nd century BC and was dedicated to the god Amon and the goddess Isis. The temple was gifted to Spain by the Egyptian government in 1968 as a sign of gratitude for the help Spain provided in saving the temples of Abu Simbel from the rising waters of the Aswan Dam. The temple was reconstructed in Madrid and opened to the public in The temple is a popular tourist attraction and is located in the Parque del Oeste, near the Royal Palace of Madrid. It is a small but beautiful temple, with two chambers, a courtyard, and a portico. The walls are decorated with hieroglyphics and reliefs depicting scenes from ancient Egyptian mythology.
