Kanchanaburi War Cemetery is a cemetery located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. It is the final resting place for over 6,000 Allied prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Burma-Thailand Railway during World War II. The cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and is a solemn reminder of the suffering endured by the prisoners of war. The cemetery is beautifully landscaped and includes a memorial wall with the names of those who died but whose graves are unknown. The cemetery is open to the public and is a popular tourist destination.
