The Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre oceanarium located on the island of Virginia Key in Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States and is the oldest oceanarium in the United States. It is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Miami area, with over 500,000 visitors each year. The Seaquarium features eight different marine animal shows and presentations, including the world-famous "Flipper Show", featuring dolphins. It also has a variety of marine animals, including sea lions, seals, sharks, manatees, sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish. The Seaquarium also offers educational programs, such as the Sea Trek Reef Encounter, which allows visitors to explore the ocean floor and interact with sea life.
