The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, Australia is the official mint of the Australian government. It is responsible for producing all of Australia's circulating coins. The Mint was opened in 1965 and is located in the suburb of Deakin. It is the only mint in Australia that produces coins for circulation. The Mint also produces commemorative coins, medallions, and other numismatic products. The Mint is open to the public and offers guided tours, a coin shop, and a museum. The Mint also produces coins for other countries, including New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea.
