Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory located in Jaipur, India. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1734 and is one of five such observatories built by him. The observatory consists of fourteen major geometric devices for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars in their orbits, ascertaining the declinations of planets, and determining the celestial altitudes and related ephemerides. The observatory is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jaipur.
