Mount Wakakusa
Mount Wakakusa is a grass-covered hill located in Nara, Japan. It is located just to the east of Nara Park and is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The hill is approximately 332 meters tall and is known for its beautiful views of the city and surrounding area. Every year on the fourth Saturday of January, a festival is held on the mountain where a bonfire is lit on the summit. The festival is known as "Yamayaki" and is a popular event among locals and tourists alike. The mountain is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, monkeys, and birds.
