Lake Chuzenji
Lake Chuzenji is a scenic lake located in the Nikko National Park in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It is the highest lake in Japan, at an elevation of 1,269 meters (4,163 feet). The lake is surrounded by lush forests and mountains, and is a popular destination for hikers and sightseers. The lake is also home to a variety of wildlife, including Japanese macaques, Japanese giant salamanders, and various species of birds. The lake is also known for its beautiful views of Mount Nantai, which rises 2,486 meters (8,156 feet) above the lake.
