Toshogu Shrine
Toshogu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Nikko, Japan. It is the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. The shrine is dedicated to the spirits of Ieyasu and his two successors, Iemitsu and Ietsuna. It is one of the most lavishly decorated shrines in Japan, and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The shrine is renowned for its elaborate carvings and colorful lacquer work. It is also home to the famous "Three Wise Monkeys" sculpture, which symbolizes the proverb "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
