Tower of London - London - United Kingdom
Tower of London
The Tower of London is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It was founded in 1066 by William the Conqueror and has served as a royal palace, prison, armory, and even a zoo. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Tower is home to the Crown Jewels, the White Tower, and the famous ravens. It also houses the Royal Armouries, the oldest museum in the United Kingdom. Visitors can explore the Tower's many towers, walls, and moats, as well as its famous Yeoman Warders, or "Beefeaters".
