Kiyomizu-dera
Kiyomizu-dera is a Buddhist temple located in the eastern part of Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city and is part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple was founded in 778 and is dedicated to the eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva. The main hall of the temple is built on a large wooden platform that juts out over the hillside and offers spectacular views of the city below. The temple complex also includes several other buildings, gardens, and a waterfall. Kiyomizu-dera is known for its cherry blossoms in the spring and its autumn foliage in the fall. It is also a popular spot for traditional Japanese festivals and events.
