Achilleion Palace

Achilleion Palace is a palace located in Corfu, Greece. It was built in 1890 by Empress Elizabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi, as a summer retreat. The palace was designed in the style of an ancient Greek temple and is surrounded by lush gardens and a large park. The palace is named after the Greek hero Achilles and features many statues and paintings of him. Inside the palace, visitors can explore the grand halls and rooms, which are decorated with intricate frescoes, marble floors, and ornate furniture. The palace also features a museum dedicated to the life and works of Empress Elizabeth. Visitors can also take in the stunning views of the Ionian Sea from the terrace.
