History

Delphi is an ancient Greek city located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus in the region of Phocis. It was the site of the most important oracle of the ancient world, the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi. The city was also home to the Delphic Games, a religious and athletic festival held every four years.

Geography

Delphi is a small town located in the region of Phocis in central Greece. It is situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. The town is located at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level and is surrounded by olive groves and pine forests.
