Chapora Fort - Goa - India
Chapora Fort
Chapora Fort is a 17th-century fort located in Bardez, Goa, India. It is situated on the top of a hill overlooking the Chapora River and the Vagator Beach. The fort was built by the Portuguese in 1617, and was later taken over by the Marathas. It was used as a military outpost to defend the northern territories of Goa. The fort is now in ruins, but still offers a spectacular view of the surrounding area. The fort is a popular tourist attraction and is also used as a backdrop for many Bollywood movies.
