Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a 73-meter tall tower located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. It is the tallest brick minaret in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tower was built in the early 13th century by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first Sultan of Delhi, and later completed by his son-in-law and successor, Iltutmish. The tower is made of red sandstone and marble, and is decorated with intricate carvings and inscriptions. The tower has five distinct stories, each marked by a projecting balcony. The first three stories are made of red sandstone, the fourth and fifth stories are of marble and sandstone. At the foot of the tower is the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India.
