Red Fort
The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India. It was the main residence of the Mughal emperors of India for nearly 200 years, until The fort is located in the center of Delhi and houses a number of museums. Its walls, which are made of red sandstone, are about 33 meters (108 feet) high and vary in thickness from 18 meters (59 feet) at the base to 12 meters (39 feet) at the top. The fort complex has several gates, including the Lahori Gate, the Ajmeri Gate, the Turkman Gate, and the Delhi Gate. Inside the fort, there are a number of important buildings, including the Diwan-i-Aam, the Diwan-i-Khas, the Moti Masjid, the Hammam, the Khas Mahal, and the Rang Mahal. The Red Fort is a popular tourist destination and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
